InsightOut

Why InsightOut?

In English, “insight” means an intuitive understanding. It’s our ability to see underlying truths clearly.

In Buddhism, “
insight” comes from the Pali word “samatha-vipassana,” which translates literally as “serene super-seeing.”

InsightOut focuses on developing compassionate insight into the grieving process to help you feel witnessed and held. Just as there is no single form of grief, and there’s no “right” way to grieve. InsightOut takes a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating arts-based practices and trauma-sensitive coaching modalities grounded in neuroscience.

“Nancy is a wonderful coach, teacher, and writer.

I came to her with a writing project that was causing me a lot of anxiety and feelings of insecurity. Nancy masterfully held a safe space for me with empathy and kindness. With her guidance, I transformed the dread I felt when writing into an experience of joy.”

“Nancy is a deeply skilled and compassionate coach. She guided me through an incredibly difficult transition in my life when I couldn’t imagine a way forward. Week after week, she took me to a slow, quiet, deep intuitive place where I sorted things through, far from the noise. I got in touch with what I really wanted and what was most essential to me while building tools for self-compassion, which I had avoided for years. Nancy often joked that I was going “Full Rob,” but this is in essence what she gave me.” — Rob Sockett, client

  • She led with clarity and inspired trust.
